According to some industry sources, the all-new Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone will arrive with a price tag of INR 1,49,999 (i.e. $2041). The purchased unit, on the other hand, will see its shipping from September 26.
Apart from Indian pricing, the industry insider has also revealed the price range of accompanying accessories. Considering the pricing on the other markets, the Indian consumer might end up saving better than the rest.
Samsung is also offering a special offer on the repair service. As per the offer, if you accidentally damage your device once within a year, you can get it repaired for INR 10,999 ($149). It is worth noting that the damage can be either physical or liquid. Apart from this, Samsung seems to be not offering any pre-book launch offers if the report is to be believed. Earlier this month, the smartphone maker launched its foldable device in the Chinese market.
To recall, the Galaxy Fold 2 is equipped with a 6.23-inch Cover Display which you can use when the device is folded. When unfolded, you will see a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a resolution of 1768 x 2208 pixels. The cover display, on the other hand, features a resolution of 816 x 2260 pixels. Under the hood, the device runs on a Snapdragon 865+ chipset paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB built-in storage.
For optics, we’re looking at a triple camera module featuring 12MP primary, ultrawide & telephoto lens. There are two 10MP selfie shooters – one for the cover display and the other for the unfolded panel. Powered by a 4500 mAh battery, the device supports 25W fast charging and 11W fast wireless charging. We’re also looking at a 4.5W reversible wireless charging as well.
