Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 includes 120Hz refresh rate, video
Samsung officially revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 2 earlier this month, but at the time it didn’t say much about the new foldable’s specs. Today we can confirm at least one detail thanks to a new leak.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has starred in a brief hands-on video posted to TikTok (via Android Police), and it confirms that the phone will support a 120Hz refresh rate. In the video, we get a brief look in the Settings app, and there are options for 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rates.
The 15-second video shows off a few other aspects of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 as well. We get to see the lock screen lighting up the 6.2-inch outer display, the camera app running on the 7.6-inch main screen, and the dialer on both displays.
Samsung has been spreading 120Hz refresh rate support to its flagships this year, including the Galaxy S20 series and the Note 20 Ultra, so it’s good to see the Galaxy Z Fold 2 getting it as well. A higher refresh rate helps to make animations and scrolling look smoother, and it makes a Galaxy Z Fold 2 that already had some solid display upgrades even more appealing.
More Galaxy Z Fold 2 details will be announced by Samsung on September 1.
